Overview: This three day course covers tactical skills and problem solving with the Handgun and Subgun/Carbine. While designed primarily for the Tactical Operator, LEOs from both patrol and CID will benefit. You will shoot faster and more accurately in a wide range of realistic positions and scenarios. Timed skill sets are a significant portion of this course as the student is pushed to reach his or her potential. Based on the specific nature of SWAT and law enforcement, the majority of this course is conducted at seven yards and closer. Students will conduct shooting in very close proximity with others, conduct downed officer/rescue drills, and be instructed in the use of firearms with shields. Days may last longer than eight hours and low- to no-light training will be conducted.
